Simon is a strategic business leader with 30 years’ experience in transport in Australia. He is General Manager – Transport NSW at pitt&sherry. 

Simon is an experienced leader of multidisciplinary business groups, projects and teams and passionate about the future of transport. He is highly respected by clients and peers and is known for having a strong focus on developing relationships with clients, partners, and industry players. He has worked on multiple award-winning and notable projects ranging from a world's first autonomous vehicle trial in Dubbo, the Hunter Expressway in Newcastle, the Pacific Highway Upgrade, the original Sydney Light Rail and Yandhai Nepean Crossing pedestrian bridge at Penrith. Simon’s combination of in-depth civil engineering skill and a commercial, strategic and customer focused mindset is key to his success in these projects. 

Simon enjoys mentoring and developing the skills of emerging industry leaders in client engagement, design implementation, project delivery and commercial contract performance.  

Simon is also active with Roads Australia, having been inducted into the Roads Australia's Fellowship in 2016. He was also a member of the Roads Australia Fellowship Council where he led the national Fellows Project initiative as well as initiating the Emerging Leaders Program from 2017-2019. Simon was the recipient of the Roads Australia Champion award in 2022.
