CCAT's AGM 2023: Recap of Achievements, New Board Election, and Vision for 2024

CCAT’s first AGM was held on 6 December 2023, with members in attendance both in person in Melbourne and online. Chair Ian Webb provided a report on achievements from 2022-23, including refining CCAT’s mission and objectives, building the membership, appointing the first Board, taking a delegation to Europe on CCAT’s International Outreach, publishing CCAT’s first policy report and holding a range of stakeholder events. Mr Webb also thanked the National Transport Research Organisation for their valued ongoing support for CCAT from its inception. 

Members also elected the new CCAT Board at the AGM. The Board consists of:

  • Ian Webb, Chair, CCAT  
  • Simon Berry, General Manager – Transport NSW, pitt&sherry  
  • Charles Griplas, CEO and Managing Director, ConnectEast  
  • Jeremy Nassau, Head of Future Transport & Partnerships, Transurban  
  • Sal Petroccitto, CEO, National Heavy Vehicle Regulator  
  • Evan Walker, Director, Future Mobility, Transport for NSW  
  • Dennis Walsh, Chief Engineer, QLD Transport and Main Roads  
  • Michael Caltabiano, CEO, National Transport Research Organisation (ex-officio)

Mr Webb also thanked outgoing Board members Damon Bowen from Telstra, Richard Host from Transport for New South Wales and Dr Hermione Parsons from the Australian Logistics Council for their expert guidance in the last year.

A preview of 2024 was given, with the focus on a national summit on connected and automated transport infrastructure being CCAT’s major public policy effort.

Mr Webb closed the AGM by thanking CCAT members for their support and commitment to CCAT’s mission and helping to deliver such a successful first 18 months.
